To make 14hh+ 128cm at 10 months
2024 Bay minimally marked gelding (Arthur) Tested LP/lp patn1/patn1
Arthur is another super foal by Jason, with sass and 'look at me' attitude! He is a super mover, with correct conformation, a gorgeous head and a true sports pony physique. Sure to be a winner in the show ring as a youngster, before going on to a ridden career.

Norgaards Jason x Britains Bird of Paradise (British Spotted Pony). Arthur is bred in the purple, with her sire being champion at his grading, and from an illustrious line of Knabstruppers, with 25% Broomells pony blood through his grand-dam. His dam, Orchid, has had a successful ridden and in hand career as a children's pony before coming to THS. Orchid's pedigree is no less impressive, being by the prolific British Spotted Pony stallion Weatheroak Manor King Solomon and out of the superb Welsh Section B mare Polaris Fairy Light.

Arthur's sire, Norgaards Jason, is a fully licenced BSpPS stallion on the International Register, and Arthur is passported with the British Spotted Pony Society. He is also eligible for overstamping as a Part-Bred Welsh with the WPCS.

Orchid had a filly foal in 2009, Britains Romantic Rhapsody by Bureside Noir, who has proven to be a great jumping pony, so we hope Arthur will be similarly talented.

He has LP characteristics, and is already showing white hairs throughout his coat, so he is already colouring out, but it is impossible to predict exactly to what extent this colour will develop. His dam was nearly 10yo before she showed her snowflake markings. With his genotype LP/lp and patn1/patn1 he is unlikely to have loud patterning, so if you are looking for quality without the loud colour and lots of white, then he is the pony for you!

Arthur is available to an approved home only and is reasonably priced.

He is currently turned out during the day and stabled at night - living with the herd here at THS - he is good to do, wormed, vaccinated and regularly sees the farrier.
