Orchid was purchased from Elly Storer in May 2021, who had her since Orchid was a youngster, direct from her breeder, Angie Ward at Britains Stud. Orchid was purchased as Dan required a larger riding pony when Georgie retired.

Orchid's sire Weatheroak Manor King Solomon is a well known multi-champion show winning British Spotted Pony stallion in hand and under saddle, as well as having sired a number of superb offspring, which have won many championships in good company.

Her dam is the Welsh Section B mare Polaris Fairy Light, who was bred by the late Countess of Dysart at the reknowned Polaris Stud. She produced some lovely ponies for Angie Ward at the Britains Stud.

Prior to coming to THS, Orchid has had a very busy life as a child's riding pony, and has also been shown in hand and under saddle.

Orchid herself also bred a foal while still with Ange Ward - a filly Britains Romantic Rhapsody (Daisy) - prior to being started under saddle. Daisy is a capable pony showing a talent for jumping, a further illustration of the rideability of the Britains ponies.

Orchid foaled a Lacey blanket filly by Norgaards Jason on 30th April 2025 at 320 days. She may be small, but she is certainly perfectly formed!

Orchid foaled a super bay minimally marked colt by Norgaards Jason on 12th April 2024 - Trinityhouse Brilliant Disguise (Arthur) - he has matured into a stunning yearling and is gelded and FOR SALE.
